One of the things phots. were taught on their first phot. course was how to ‘pan’. The idea was to capture a moving target in perfect focus but with the background blurred.

This is Ken Morris, on Pusser’s Red, for a ‘stop-movement’ exercise on his course.

We can’t be absolutely sure who took the picture of Ken but we think it was probably taken by Curly Hawkes.

The course was held at HMS Peregrine, RNAS Ford.
