We have had news that one of our long standing members of the RNPA, Rod Safe, has passed away this week.

Rod’s funeral…

We have been informed by Rod’s daughter Julia that his funeral will be on Wednesday 29th October at 11.30am at St Mary’s Church, Sixpenny Handley, Dorset, SP5 5NJ.  He will be buried with Iris who died in February this year, in the church where they were married in 1961.

Our newsletter editor, Alan Ferguson, submitted this picture of Rod when he retired from the Royal Navy, on his infamous Penny Farthing bicycle.
